It has been a while since i have posted anything on here. The past few weeks have been full of spiritual experinces, happiness, sadness, stress, anger and all other emotions. Liz and I are enjoying the move that we made here to Midland. Its been a blessing in so many ways. We do miss Logan and the beautiful mountains, and we had to miss the Family Reunion and i missed going to Glacier National Park and on a High Adventure Trip with my friend Elliot to the backcountry of Yellowstone.
But moving here has been really good for us. If we had waited to move, we would not have found our great apartment. And how we found it was a little miracle. When we moved , we had no idea where we were going to live. We were staying with Liz's Grandma Ann for a few days as we looked. We went and saw a few apartments and they were only one bedrooms, we needed at least a 2 and we were just not finding one. Well, i decided to get online one night and look at the Midland College website (http://www.midland.edu/ ) and look to see if they had any family housing. A few weeks before i checked and i did not see any family housing. I must have missed it or something, because all of a sudden there was a page about Family Housing. Liz and I were so excited we called the next morning, came over to the campus, looked at the place and signed the lease an hour later. It is the perfect place. We went from living in a small two bedroom in Logan, to living in a 4 bedroom, 2 bath, all inclusive apartment. If we had waited until August to move, we would not have gotten this place.
Another blessing for us, is that Liz is closer to her family. Her Grandma lives 5 minutes away and her parents can come visit more often which is great. We love having them closer. And its great having them stay with us when they are here.
Another blessing is the ward we are in. They have greeted us with open arms and are constantly asking if they can do anything for us. Liz and I have been humbled in accepting the help that is offered. We have became close with the Missionaries, they call or come by often and its great having them in our house. The Lord has blessed us by placing us in this ward.
Liz and the baby are doing ok. We are getting down to the end and are anxiously waiting for Mckinley Lou Marshall to get here. Her room is all ready and i can not wait to be able to hold her. I am so excited to be a Dad, i grew up with a great Dad and i hope that i can even come close to being the Dad he was to me. I know i was not the most easy son to raise and handle, but he did the best job that he could. I love my Dad and i hope that he knows that. I also have an amazing Father in Law who is a great man and has helped me become a better husband. I know we do not see eye to eye on everything and i have been a pain a few times, but i do love and respect him and am so grateful to be apart of his family.
We hope all is well with all of you and if you ever come to Midland, Texas. You have a place to stay here with us.
