A day of Fun and Excitement in Denali.............

Well today was a great day for me and Liz. We actually had the whole day off together and we decided to go have some fun. The first thing we did was get up and go ride 4-Wheelers in and around the Denali area. It was awesome. We decided to do a tandom 4 X 4 so we could sit side by side and be able to talk to each other. We loved it. Driving it was not hard and Liz and I both had a great time of riding along while the other drove. And we also went to some great overlooks of the valley and got some good pics. And as you can see on Liz's face, she had a great time.









And then after that we came back to the Denali City and we had a great lunch at the Mckinley Chalets. It was very yummy. Liz had pizza and a pepsi and i had a bacon burger and a mt. dew, and we had appetizers of buffalo wings.

We then went shopping and looking at the shops around the board walk of Denali City. We then went to the visitors center to get a National Park Annual Pass, but they only accepted cash money so we have to wait to get that. So we then decided we wanted to go see the Denali Park sled dogs, so we got on the free shuttle bus to go see them, but the driver did not tell us he had stopped at the area where we were supposed to get off and he kept on going down his route towards the Savage River Ranger Station area of Denali. Along the way there were a few buses stopped on the road and we knew there was an animal around and this is what we saw in the view of Liz's camera......................



It was a white wolf, it was awesome. It has been hanging around close to the Denali Park entrance about 15 mins from where we live. It was big and just beautiful. And after it went out of view across the road we saw this.............


Yes, its a MOOSE, and its the main thing Liz wanted to see. She was so so excited. So after watching this beast for a few minutes we went down the road towards Savage River and we saw these wonderful animals as well.........

The first was a bear. It was on a little hill coming down towards the road. It was awesome.



Its a nice lone Caribou on a little off shoot of the Savage River, there were about 50 around the area, but this one was really close so we took this picture. And then when we pulled into the area to turn around we stopped and saw these Kings of the Mountain looking down.....





So today was a great day with Liz and I enjoying Denali. I hope you liked the pictures. We will take lots more and keep it updated. We are looking forward to seeing the black Wolf that has been seen around as well.
