We had a great drive up from Houston. We left almost 95% of our stuff in Storage in texas, but we will go back and get it in December when we visit her family for christmas. We had a fun time camping our first night of our road trip at Trinidad Lakes State Park, in Colorado. It was really pretty and quiet. We then drove the next day to Pikes Peak recreation area. We were going to drive up the Mountain, but it was to much money for us to do, so we went to a great little park called Garden of the Gods state park. We had a great view of Pikes Peak.
Pikes Peak is in the background, in the foreground is the main area of Garden of the Gods State Park. Its beautiful.
Liz and I and my big 7 7/8 head blocking Pikes Peak.
Liz and i got really up close and personal to some buffalo.
A diagram of the high points in america. Liz and i have now seen Mt. Mckinley and Pikes Peak. we are not sure we want to see the bottom 2 mole hills.
After we drove to Denver to spend the night with my brother Gregg and his wife Bobbi and there 3 little ones, Connor, Cohen, and Carter. It was great seeing them, since its been about 3 years since i have seen them last and Liz had never met them. Thanks Bobbi for the great dinner and great breakfast.
The next morning we started the next leg of our journey over the deselet part of Wyoming. It was long and no great scenery except for tons and tons of Trucks. We stopped and enjoyed another great meal in Rawlins, Wyoming and finally made it safely to Utah. We are back and getting settled back into the slow pace life of Logan. We are looking forward to many years of life here in Cache Valley.
