Date Night, Grandparents, Birthday, and other things.....

Last week Liz surprised me with getting a baby sitter for McKinley and planning a date night for us. It has been a while since we have actually done something with just the two of us. We went to eat at Red Lobster. It was really good. I have not been for years and i got the Sea Food Feast and Liz got the Captains Special and we shared.  After we drove through a little town called Hayden and looked at the scenery and saw a deer walking down the road, it was not even afraid of the cars. As we drove back towards our town we were passing the Holiday Inn Express in Hayden and i decided to pull over so we could play some of the games at the fun park that is attached to the hotel. We went in and decided to play the cosmic mini golf and then some arcade games after. It was fun. We did not keep score on the golf course, since the par was so high, but it was fun. Liz and I had 2 good games of Air Hockey, and a good game of Basketball Shot and Skeet Ball. It was a good night being together.

Some of the cool glow in the dark drawings on the mini golf course.

This week McKinley's grandparents came up to help take care of her so I could take care of Liz as she recovered from surgery. It has been so great having them here and McKinley is having so much fun getting to know her other grandparents since they did not see her that often when we lived in Midland and now here in Coeur D'Alene.  Having them here has eased a lot of burden and stress off of Liz while she is recovering. Since she can not hold or pick up McKinley or anything over 10 lbs for 2 weeks.

Focus on the Birds.

McKinley enjoying being with Grandma.

McKinley loved to look over and see Grandma swinging by her.

We also celebrated McKinley's first birthday 2 months early since my parents will not be able to come up here for it. It was fun. Liz and my mom got McKinley a nice cake and McKinley got to open up some great presents. She loved the cake.

This cake was great.

Looking at mom and wondering what is all this stuff.

Nice Kitty.

Looking at mom for more cake.

Liz's operation went well. They are pretty confident that they removed a big part of the health problem she has had. We thank you for your prayers and thoughts. She is not 100 % yet, but she is happy knowing that she is close to being well again.
