The CabinThis weekend was one of the best weekends we have had since we moved back here to Utah. It was the Stephenson Family Reunion. We started out with a big all you can eat pancake breakfast. It was yummy. And then we sat around and talked and introduced Liz to all the aunts, uncles, cousins and new babies in the family. Liz really had a good time and was not as nervous as i thought she would be. She really was greeted like a long time member of the family and already got invited to visit St. George and Medford, Oregon in the next few months. So we are planning on doing that. After the intro's, we chatted with everyone and then had to come home for a bit so Liz could nap because she is still battling her H-Pylori, but the new meds are working wonders and she is doing amazing and feeling so much better. After her nap, we went back up to the Cabin to enjoy Liz's favorite meal of Hotdogs, coke, chips.
They were excellent.

For Desert we had smores.

After eating, talking and enjoying each others company we all started to pack up and go home, but Grandpa Stephenson decided to have a can smashing event and it turned out great.
Here are just some random pics.

Liz and I in front of a rattlesnake skin that was killed a few years ago at our last family reunion, it was under my parents trailer and was curled up to strike at my mom. When we skinned it open, it had 2 freshly eat mice in it. It has 8 rattles and a little 9th one starting. Our last night of the reunion we had a great dutch oven dinner of BBQ Chicken, Potatoes, Cheese Vegetables, and brownies. It was a nice weekend meeting up with all of the Stephenson side of the family.
* Side note* Liz knew my cousin Jamie's husband Jake. They went to UVSC together and both majored in Social Work, the had a lot of the same classes together and a few group projects together as well. Another cool thing about them as a couple is that they both met each other the same way Liz and I did. On LDSPLANET.COM . So its worked for more people than just us. Jake told me that 4 of his friends also met there wives on LDSPLANET.COM.
