Coeur D'Alene, Idaho

Liz and I try to get out and see Coeur D'Alene at least 2 or 3 days a week. Its not a big town and it takes about 10 mins to get to the other side. We have heard and are ready for the big crowds that will start coming in about 2 or 3 weeks for the summer.  But there is so much to do to here. Liz and I are really excited for the 4th of July firework show. We have been told its one of the best in the West. They have a big barge that shoots them from the middle of the lake. We are excited for that.  We are also looking forward to some of the other events that will be here this summer.

McKinley got her first chance today to put her feet in the Spokane River. We thought she would  not like it since her scream fest/freak out in Carlsbad, New Mexico in the cold pool, but she loved it. The first thing she did when her feet touched the water was giggle and make happy sounds. It was a nice day today to get out of the house. The Park where we went is about 2 minutes from our house. And its right on the river.  We are loving it here. We do miss being close to family and seeing everyone. We hope that you can come up and visit.

You can see her smiling right now. She loved the water and also the sand.

This Feather is from the Coeur D'Alene Art Society. A Local Artist made this.

Our House. Our entrance is the one on the right. We love it here.

The Big Tree in our backyard. It is plenty shady during the day.
